The important part is the destination. A link to a profile, sound page or search result is not the same as a link to one video.
Copy a video link in the TikTok app
- Open the video you want to share or use.
- Check the creator's username and the content itself.
- Open the Share menu, usually shown beside the video.
- Choose Copy link where that option is available.
- Paste the result into a note, message or browser so you can inspect it.
Menu labels and available options can vary with the app version and the post. If your menu looks different, look for the link-copying option within the available sharing controls rather than assuming every button will appear in the same position.
Do not copy the address of the creator's profile when the receiving form asks for a video URL. Open the specific post first.
Copy a video link from a desktop browser
Open TikTok in your browser and navigate to the individual video. If you are viewing a grid of posts or a search page, open the target video rather than copying the surrounding page's address.

Copy the URL from the browser address bar. Open a new tab, paste the URL and confirm that you see the same video and account.
If a sharing control offers Copy link, you can use that instead. In either case, verify the destination before sending or submitting it.
Video links and profile links serve different purposes
| Link type | What it should open | When it is relevant |
|---|---|---|
| Video link | One specific post | A request concerning that video |
| Profile link | A creator's account page | A request concerning the profile |
| Sound or search link | A sound page or search results | Browsing a topic rather than identifying one target video |
A shortened sharing URL may redirect before opening the video. Its length alone does not tell you whether it is correct. Test where it goes, and follow the receiving service's requirements if it asks for a particular format.
Do not manually build a video address by guessing a username or video ID. Copy the actual post link instead.
Check a link before using it in an order
Read the form label first. Does it ask for a username, profile URL or video URL? Then check that your copied link matches that request.
If the form expects only a URL, remove surrounding caption text from the pasted entry. Do not delete unfamiliar parts of the address at random; first test the original copied link and use the format the service accepts.
Check the target's accessibility too. A link opening in your own signed-in account does not prove that it meets a service's public-access requirements. An unavailable target may reflect privacy settings, deletion, regional access or a login requirement; ask for clarification rather than assuming the URL is broken.
Common problems
The link opens a profile instead of the video
Return to the individual video and copy from that post. Verify the destination again before resubmitting it.
The copied text includes a description
Paste it into a note first so you can see the full content. If the receiving field requests only the link, copy the URL portion without the surrounding description.
The video no longer opens
Return to the creator's profile and check whether the original post is still available to you. Copy a fresh link from the original video if it is accessible. Do not replace the target with a different post in an active order without contacting support.
Copy link is not visible
Review the available sharing options or open the individual video in a browser. A missing option does not mean you should submit a profile link in its place.
A quick check before you submit
Confirm that the link opens the intended video, belongs to the intended account and matches the target type requested by the form. For TokBoosting, review the requirements on the relevant Likes or Views page before ordering.
For the rest of the preparation process, use our order checklist. If an existing order contains a mistake, contact support with the order reference rather than placing a duplicate order.
